Why I'm Making This Appeal
Those who know me know Lisa Allen and her two children Joseph and Rose.both of whom have attended the Chicago Waldorf School since pre-school. For the past 1 ½ years, Lisa has been struggling to recover from breast cancer. While she has been in recovery, she has needed to devote all of her available funds on tuition payments and can no longer afford their tuition, even with some generous relief offered by the school.
As of September 8, 2010, Joseph will be entering his junior year and Rose will be entering 7th grade. Moving them now out of Waldorf would be traumatic for both at a time already filled with so much uncertainty. Waldorf has a unique teaching program that the kids have learned to depend on. So let’s pledge that they will never be forced to leave the school they love based on their inability to pay. I cannot shoulder the weight of this financial pledge alone, and am therefore making this appeal for your help. See below for how you can make a real difference in “keeping Joseph and Rose at Waldorf”...
